I suggest you ...

ask confirmation before retweeting

Currently, the retweet happens instantly as soon as you click the retweet icon. Please allow the user to confirm. Clicking it could have been a mistake.

If you decide to implement this make it a setting option so users can turn it off if they don't want it.

No. I do not want it added. And if it is added, please include a way to shut it off. Thank you!

Never implement a confirm if undo is what you really intend.

You can undo de RT by pressing the button again... no need for a confirmation.

Actually like Pimm's idea. An instant Undo option (think when you label or archive or take an action in gmail) if hit by accident.

I had to try it out, before noticing that there is a Quote RT button, which allows me to RT the old way. First day trying the app, and I am liking it already.

        I totally agree with Pimm!

Actually I think the bar that says "retweeting..." should turn into "retweeted! undo" once the action is completed. Clicking "undo" will undo the retweet.

This way, no confirmation is required, but you can still undo your mistake.
